"A 20 Year Legacy of Providing Black Scholastic Success."

I believe that spiritual and secular education are the keys to success I further believe that a good spiritual and moral education, when combined with good secular academic education, is the key to success in every aspect of human life. Moreover, I believe in the power of knowledge; the more you know, the further you will go. I believe that education is the bridge, the bedrock, the foundation, and the tool to elevate you from the cotton field to the White House, from the outhouse to the big house, and from poverty to financial success. Likewise, I firmly believe that it takes a village to raise and educate a child. Shakespeare said it best when he stated no man is an island unto himself. We all need each other. I believe that we were all aided by someone to elevate us from point A to point B in our lives today. We did not get here by ourselves. Social Justice, Civic League, Inc. Hallmark's mission is to help educate our disadvantaged, underserved, and less fortunate children; we believe that all children can and should be provided a good educational experience. We also believe that circumstances should never determine or dictate a child’s educational future. We know that a good education costs money, which is why scholarships are so essential to our disadvantaged poor and encourage children. SJCL believes that we who have been blessed with a good education or duty-bound, morally and educationally, to reach back and give to the community by providing scholarships to the bright and intelligent young students in our community. I conclude my letter by thanking each of you for partnering with SJCL and purchasing tickets and advertisements and for attending our 20th anniversary scholarship gala. I absolutely thank each of you for being a vital part of our village. Thank you for caring about yours and education, SP Davis, senior president of Esquire Social Justice, Civic League, Inc.
